We’re providing individuals ( AT NO COST TO THEM ) with the “A RIDE TO FREEDOM”. You may ask what is a ride to freedom? The answer is many of our veterans and riders have no other forms of transportation other than a wheelchair or perhaps a walker or perhaps they can walk a small distance with a cane or braces. This limits places they can visit or trips that they can make on their own.  What we do is provide our riders with a scooter ( than can travel up to 40 miles on a single charge at speeds up to 20 miles and hour)  Or a Segway that can travel comparable distances and reach speeds of up to 12 miles an hour. Instead of depending upon other people to go to the store, go to the mall, go downtown, meet friends for dinner or lunch they can now hop on their scooter or Segway and head out on their own. And that is where the saying “A RIDE TO FREEDOM” ORIGINATED.
